Resthaven

I talked to Mark at Resthaven this afternoon. He said yes they would like to have our vehicles there. He said we should be there at 9:30. The program starts at 11:00. May 26th, Monday.

This year is their 50th year so the more vehicles the merrier.

Parade and Exhibition for the KMMH on June 14

The Kansas Museum of Military History is having their open house on Saturday June 14th. They plan to open the day with a parade through Augusta at 1000hrs and the open house will run from 1100hrs to 1600hrs. Assets from the KMMH will be in the parade.

The MKMVPA and Last Patrol are invited to participate in both the parade and the open house, vehicle and equipment display. Among the many things that will be going on is rides for people on the M5 high speed artillery tractor and a fire power demonstration of weapons ranging from WW2 to Vietnam, possibly even the present will be presented by WW2 re-enactors and the Last Patrol. Should be a lot of fun for everybody. Space will be available for the MKMVP to display their vehicles and equipment.

Complete details are forthcoming. Please respond if you are interested. Contact either me or Brad Wise. Remember I will be unavailable after May 26th until Jun 12th!

Everybody is welcome and encouraged to come and have some fun! There will be refreshments on site.

Correction to the Meeting Minutes

There is a correction to the April 19th minutes: Instead of our May meeting at the Ks. Museum of Military History in Augusta, the June 14th meeting will be at the KMMH to coincide with the Open House.

Our May meeting will still be at the Air Museum.

Sorry about that. – Judy
